WELCOME TO OUR CITY

Located in Southern California, Murrieta is surrounded by snow capped mountains and hills. It is 45 minutes to the pacific surf beaches and an hour to Los Angeles and San Diego.

Climate -

Murrieta averages 275 sunny days per year. Surrounding mountains can be up to 40 degrees cooler at the top and nearby beaches have water temperature around 72 degrees in summer. It is relatively dry year round, averaging only 13 inches of rain per year.

Cost of Living -

Southern California is an incredible place to live with everything on its doorstep from ski mountains to Disneyland and beautiful surf beaches. A student should budget around $300 a month for living expenses. The school can assist with your accommodation needs. We have a limited number of volunteer accommodation spaces provided by host families to student living which averages $125 per week. It is advisable to work a part time job to avoid building any debt during your year with us.

Transportation -

There are a variety of airports you can fly into. San Diego airport is one hour away, additional airports to consider are: Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Palm Springs, Ontario, Long Beach all within one and a half hours drive. Contact us to see if we can help with transportation from the airport. A car is useful but not essential during your time here.

Disneyland

Just one hour away, Disneyland offers two world-class parks that people travel from all corners of the world to visit.

Skiing

Enjoy snow skiing in the winter and water skiing in the summer within a stone’s throw. Local ski areas include Big Bear mountain, just an hour away.

San Diego

Whether its shopping, culture, sailing, an adventure park, kayaking, swimming or simply exploring the many beaches, San Diego has something for everyone.
